The Radiology Dept. is a key discipline of The Second Affiliated Hospital and Yuying Children’s Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. It is a National Specialist Training Base and Provincial Standardized Training Base for Residents. It has advanced medical equipment including six CT scanners(one of them is 256 Slice Multi-detector CT), four MRI scanners(two of them is 3.0 T), two plate DSA scanners、eight DR scanners。The department consists of a batch of excellent talents, including 5 professors and chief physicians, 1 chief technicians, 14 with associate senior professional titles, 9 Ph.Ds. and Ph.D. students, 1 doctoral supervisor, 4 master’s supervisors, 1 selected into the 151 Talents Program of Zhejiang Province, 5 selected into the 551 Talents Program of Wenzhou City. Medical service, teaching and research are equally emphasized and the comprehensive development of talents is always a priority. The Radiology Dept. covers a wide range of subspecialties currently, and features the clinical diagnosis and scientific research on musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology imaging, head and neck imaging, pediatric and gynecologic imaging. The Radiology Dept. has decided several research priorities according to the development trend of medical imaging and the characteristics of our hospital, in collaboration with School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Wenzhou Medical University, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Northwestern University, National Cancer Centre Singapore and Xi’an Jiaotong University. It has lead 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 projects of Provincial Natural Science Foundation, over 30 municipal projects in the past five years with more than 3 million yuan research funds. It was granted 2 Provincial Science and Technology Awards and 2 Provincial Medical Science and Technology Awards. Staff of the Radiology Dept. have published more than 200 papers, including 70 on national periodicals and 15 on SCI journals (with highest impact factor of 5.471), edited 1 publication as associate chief editor, and participated in the editing work of another 5 publications.
